走进科学 探索未来—协和教科国际课程部科学展拉开帷幕

 近日，协和教科国际课程部科学展在学校图文信息中心举行。

科学展是我校国际课程部的重大赛事，一般由科学学科老师牵头动员，参与者需要经过初赛的筛选，才有资格代表学校参加复赛的评比。

据悉，这是学校第三次举行规模如此庞大的科学展。为了保证秩序和安全，参赛者被分成了三个组，分别是9年级组、10年级组、11及12年级组，每组评选一二三名，得分靠前的五位同学将有资格参加5月23日的总评选。

在科学展中，参赛同学有的关注环保问题，研究如何有效溶解生活垃圾；有的关注生物演化，调查寄生虫感染；更有同学将视角投向了前沿科技，展示出新一代对于未知的渴求和严谨的求索精神。

经过激烈角逐，Roy、Anna、Helen等数位同学胜出，并接受了Dennis老师颁发的奖牌和奖章，除此之外，在绘制科学展海报中脱颖而出的Cindy、Jimmy等也获得了Kevin校长的表彰。

Recently Science Fair 2016 was held in the Learning Resource Center.

The major event of Science Fair was led by science teachers. Participants who passed the preliminary screening are eligible to participate in the semi-finals of the competition on behalf of the school.

After the competitive event the first five groups were recognized to be qualified to attend the final competition. The five groups were from Grade 9&10 and Grade 11&12 respectively.

What the students showed us is very amazing. Their projects involved a wide range of issues including environmental protection disposal of household garbage biological evolution parasitic infection and even advanced technology showing their eager for knowledge and spirit of exploration.

Mr. Larcombe presented medals to winners of projects and Mr. Harrison our principal presented medals to those best poster designers.
